WELCOME from Pastor

Integrity. For some it has an old-fashioned ring. It is something our grandfathers had. A characteristic indicative of the World War II generation. Dictionary.com defines it as an adherence to moral and ethical principles, honesty. Integrity is a word that we still hear used, but often do not see exampled. Is it irrelevant?  Is it a characteristic that was relevant only for previous generations?
I purport that integrity is still valid, necessary and imperative in 2010. In fact, with the moral decay and continual spiraling in government, business practices, and personal relationships, integrity is our lifeline. Without integrity, we perishas a nation, as a church, as an individual.

We must live by principals and not convenience. We cannot afford to cave to situational ethics or feel-goodism. A worn-out cliché from a few years ago is: What would Jesus do?  Perhaps it is time we dust off the phrase and begin to examine it, live it, model it. Jesus was a man of integrity. He did the right thingalways. If we call ourselves Christians, Christ-followers, we can do no less.
